The painting Pink Sky was created based on 3 studies of clouds and sunset landscape with a limited palette of colors. The primary color palette which I follow uses a red, yellow, and blue. In this case, an ultramarine blue, cobalt blue, alizarin crimson, cadmium yellow light and indian yellow. Three are transparent colors. Use of white is limited to achieve a more transparent, glowing effect.
