The art of Nellenby harkens back to the classic children’s books of the past, and to cartoons created with lithography for books and magazines of the late 1800s. I created a fictional world for all the characters to inhabit - "Nellenby".

There are characters that appear in several scenes. Mr or Monsieur Lion and Rabbit most frequently.

Mr Lion plays the violin, is a lawyer, seeks solitude on the golf course, and enjoys an occasional game of chance and debating learned friends.

Rabbit is an observer.

The other animals play supporting roles.
